PRAIA DE KANAGAWA
Está aberta a temporada de verăo sem fumo na praia de Zuchi, em Kanagawa, no Japăo. O governo local proibiu o cigarro nas praias, exceto em áreas específicas. Porém, năo há puniçăo prevista para os infratores, informa o jornal The Japan Times. Săo cinco fumódromos em 600 metros de areia, com patrulhamento feito por voluntários.
Uma regra semelhante está em vigor em Shirahama, em Wakayama.
O governador Shigefumi Matsuzawa foi à cerimônia de abertura da praia sem fumo, segundo o jornal japonęs. "Queremos criar praias limpas e seguras onde todos tanto fumantes como năo-fumantes possam se divertir", disse.(Fonte: Folha on line, 26/6/10/RTede ACT)

Note: The State of Maine and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico prohibit smoking on beaches.
While ANRF has been tracking smokefree laws since the mid-1980s, we didn’t start tracking smokefree beach laws until recently, when these laws became more common. We will continue to review older laws that may have contained these specific provisions and to update this list to reflect our findings.
